The project, “English in the Regions: AI-Enhanced Peer Mentoring Circles for Vocational English Teachers in Rural Uzbekistan,” reflects our commitment to supporting teachers in regional contexts through innovation and collaboration.

Thank you to IATEFL for this trust and to our partners and educators who make this work possible. We look forward to sharing the impact with the global ELT community.

CONGRATULATIONS to UzTEA (Uzbekistan Teachers of English Association), this year's IATEFL Project winner with their project, “English in the Regions: AI-Enhanced Peer Mentoring Circles for Vocational English Teachers in Rural Uzbekistan”.

The IATEFL Projects scheme offers a grant each year to support Teaching Associations undertake a project that will make an improvement to language teaching and learning in the local community and give the opportunity for less experienced teachers to take an active role.

A great event on April 5 - TOEFL Experience Day in Tashkent 🇺🇿

We were pleased to support and promote this important initiative, and honored to contribute with a speech on assessment literacy and teacher development in Uzbekistan.

With over 55,000 English teachers nationwide in school education, strengthening teacher capacity and aligning with global standards like TOEFL remains a key priority for improving student outcomes and expanding international opportunities

A sincere thank you to all partners and organizers for bringing the education community together, it was great to see such strong engagement from educators across the country.

UzTEA at ELO 2026

UzTEA is proud to support the Republican-level English Language Olympiad (ELO 2026) bringing together talented students from across Uzbekistan.

🏆 Talented students did their best to demonstrate their knowledge and skills through strong performances. So far, the junior team has successfully completed their stage, and we now look forward to the senior round.

🇸🇦 Winners will represent Uzbekistan internationally in Jeddah this October.

👏 Congratulations to all participants and educators!
