North Captiva Sea Turtle Foundation

Our DeWalt Sawzall was accidentally left on the path in the preserve. One of our many jobs volunteering for the foundation is to keep the path clear. If anyone has seen it, please message us. I am attaching a picture. Thank you!

The North Captiva Sea Turtle Foundation and our Adopt-A-Nest Program are having a wonderful season, and we still have nests available for adoption!

One of my favorite parts of the program is receiving photos from adopters when they find their nest on the beach. Seeing your excitement and connection to sea turtle conservation makes all of our efforts worthwhile.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Foundation and participated in the Adopt-A-Nest Program. We are especially grateful to those who share their photos and experiences with us.

As always, thank you for your continued support of sea turtle conservation on North Captiva Island!

Just a quick shout out to this great group of ladies who adopted the nest in front of their rental. Their sign read, “Estrogen Tour 2026“. We couldn’t do what we do without our Adopt A Nest program. We enjoyed answering all of their questions. *Permission was given to post picture.

The North Captiva Sea Turtle Foundation is off to a great start for the 2026 nesting season! Our beach has been monitored daily since April 15th, and we’re excited about what promises to be another successful year for sea turtle conservation.

We currently have many sea turtle nests available for adoption. If you are interested in supporting our efforts through a nest adoption, please contact us via Facebook Messenger, email, or through our website.

As always, thank you for your continued support. We truly could not do what we do without the generosity and dedication of our community. Every adoption and donation helps us protect and monitor the sea turtles that make North Captiva’s beaches so special.

Together, we can make a difference for sea turtles!
