🩵June 2026 Power in the Community with EJHM Foundation, Inc.🩵

I give God all the glory, honor, and praise for allowing Almer, our faithful EJHM Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors, our dedicated volunteers, and me to continue serving our communities in loving memory of Elijah.

I thank God for my husband, Almer, for recognizing that I needed this foundation as a place to pour the love I will always have for Elijah into serving others. I am also grateful for my Bishop, whose words continue to encourage me: “Stay focus on the mission because it will keep your mind.” Those words have carried me through some of life’s most difficult days.

June 20, 2026
Oak City Cares – Raleigh, NC
Hosted a hot breakfast (sausage, grits, eggs, bread, and fruit) with beverages for more than 225 community members.

June 23, 2026
Co-facilitated an online Zoom session with SSFGHM and CLSW. A safe space to talk, laugh, cry, be ourselves without apologizes for where we are in our grief, etc.

June 25, 2026
Families Moving Forward & Urban Ministries of Durham, NC
Prepared, set up, and served a full taco bar (chicken, black beans, rice, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, chips, salsa, and fruit with juice and water) for 35 individuals, including children. A special surprise was the delicious homemade lemon cupcakes generously donated by Pamela R. Hester. The families truly enjoyed every bite. Pamela, thank you for your kind heart, generosity, and willingness to bless others.

We remain committed to serving families and individuals experiencing hardship with compassion, dignity, and love.

Every meal served, every partnership formed, and every act of kindness reflects Elijah’s legacy of love, compassion, and service.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the mission of the EJHM Foundation, Inc. through your financial donations, volunteer service, and faithful prayers. Together, we will continue to Elevate • Empower • Encourage our communities.

We are excited to announce that our 2026 EJHM Foundation Scholarship Recipients will be revealed before the end of the summer. By God’s grace, Elijah’s foundation will once again bless graduating high school seniors across multiple states as they pursue higher education.

We miss you every single day, Elijah. Your legacy continues to shine through every life we touch. Forever 22.

This is a gentle reminder about our Safe Space for Grieving & Healing Mothers online support sessions as we navigate life after the loss of our children together.

Whether you have experienced a miscarriage or the loss of a child at any age, please know that you are not alone. The EJHM Foundation, Inc. has created a judgment-free space where you can simply be yourself.

We have an amazing licensed clinical social worker joining us during the online sessions. Ms. Johnson has been supporting and walking with us for over two years. She has been a blessing to us during this difficult journey.

Come as you are. Cry, laugh, share, or sit quietly. Showing up is enough.

✨ May 9, 2026 (Saturday) – Outreach/Benevolence
A Safe Space for Grieving & Healing Mothers (SSFGHM)

A candle making session in memory of our babies filled with prayer, laughter, fellowship, and so much more. But the most important part is being present for each other with no judgment, only love.

✨ May 13, 2026 (Wednesday) – Community Outreach
Raleigh Rescue Mission

We provided bottles of shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and body wash to the residents. We are grateful for the partnership.

✨ May 15, 2026 (Friday) – Mentorship
Speaking Engagement with Ms. Sutton at Creative Mind Micro-School – Shared Elijah’s story and encouraged students to be respectful, make wise decisions, stay in school, continue their education after high school, push and press through challenging times with positive support, and TRUST GOD.

Hodge Road Elementary School – Provided cases of water for students during Field Day.

🌿 March Moments of Purpose, Love, and Service 🌿

March has been a beautiful reminder that even in the midst of life’s challenges and pain, God continues to move, provide, and surround us with a village rooted in love.

On March 4, 2026, I experienced a special Mentorship Moment. I was blessed with the opportunity to spend time with one of our 2025 scholarship recipients, Charlie, a student at Temple University who has a truly beautiful spirit. Moments like these remind us why we do this work and how Elijah’s legacy continues to live on through the lives we are able to pour into.

On March 7, 2026, I had the honor of serving as a guest speaker at a Women’s Retreat in Fayetteville, NC, focused on nurturing the mind, body, and soul. I am deeply grateful to Mrs. McGrady for the invitation and to every woman who embraced me with such warmth and love. A special thank you to Shanice Johnson for standing beside me as my right hand. Shanice your presence means more than words can express.

On March 17, 2026, the Raleigh Rescue Mission reached out with an urgent need for soap, diapers, wipes, and pull-ups for the babies that lives in the building. Because of your generosity and support, we were able to be a blessing by donating 80 packs of baby wipes, 396 pull-ups, 140 bars of soap, and 894 pampers. God is good.

God continues to bless Almer and me with faithful, compassionate volunteers who pour into this mission with consistency and heart. Your love, support, and dedication keep Elijah’s legacy alive and thriving through the work of the EJHM Foundation, Inc.

On March 21, 2026, we returned to Oak City Cares to give what we call the “Gift of Time.” With grateful hearts, we served 243 hot meals. The meal was hot grits, eggs, hash browns, fruit, and water to our community. Our incredible volunteers traveled from Washington, DC/Maryland, Burlington, Apex, Zebulon, and surrounding areas across North Carolina to serve with love and purpose.

We do not take a single moment, meal, or mile traveled for granted.

We also intentionally share messages and photos of the work happening through Elijah’s foundation so that every contributor and individual who blesses us with donations can see exactly where their support is going and how we are impacting families with children and uplifting others in need. Your generosity is not only received, it is seen, felt, and poured directly back into the community.

God is good always.

Thank you to our beautiful village for continuing to elevate, empower, and encourage others in Elijah’s honor. Together, we will keep pushing forward.
