Brevity Shakespeare Shakespeare for all Brevity Shakespeare is an Ypsilanti-based theatrical organization founded in 2019. We are dedicated to making Shakespeare accessible for all.

To this end, we are committed to ensuring that his tremendous stories aren’t only told by old white dudes, but instead assembling casts that are better reflective of our community at large.

More and more community members are getting their Shakespeare start with our growing company. If you have friends or acquaintances who you think would be a good fit for us, please encourage them to apply.

Our plan for the 2027 season is to stage three productions. We will take applications until Friday, July 3, 2026. A TEMPEST AUDITIONS ARE TOMORROW!!!!!

Auditions will be held Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 24th (4pm-6pm) at The Ypsilanti Performance Space (218 N Adams St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197). Callbacks, as needed, will be Tuesday, May 26th (6pm-8pm), at the same location.

There is no need to prepare anything; all materials will be provided.

WE OPEN TOMORROW!!

Cameron Graham is thrilled to be back with Brevity Shakespeare, following his appearance as Roderigo in Othello. He also returns to his very first Shakespeare show, back in 2019 at Eastern Michigan University. Honored to share space with such talented and passionate artists, Cameron hopes to do them service. And to his Hannah, Cameron borrows a quote from Benedick himself: "I do love nothing in the world as well as you."
