“Don’t we love law enforcement?” That’s what Trump asked the crowd Monday night while a woman was being punched in the stands in front of him.

He was at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, stumping for Sen. Jon Husted.

She stood up in a “Release the Epstein Files” shirt. The crowd chanted “USA.” Trump called her a “paid protester,” with no evidence.

He said protesters get paid by “the lefties in order to destroy our country. They’re scum.” He misgendered her. Then: “Gotta go on a diet fast!”

As of Tuesday morning, no arrests have been reported, and her attackers haven’t been publicly identified.

Let’s be clear about what she was protesting: the government hiding files on a s*x offender who abused dozens of girls.

For that, she got punched in the face, and the president made fun of her body.

None of this is new. In 2016, Trump told a crowd he’d like to punch a protester in the face. Weeks later, a rally attendee was charged with assault for punching a Black protester as deputies led him out.

Ten years later, the hits keep coming. The jokes do too.

WHO'LL STAND WITH US, YOUNGSTOWN? ✊

Trump's rolling into the Covelli Centre this Monday to try to drag Senator Jon Husted across the finish line against Sherrod Brown Brown.

Last time he came to Youngstown, he told everyone not to sell their houses because the jobs were coming back. Lordstown closed less than two years later. Bold move, coming back to the scene of the crime. 🏭

Husted's still glued to him anyway. We say bring it on. Every Trump rally in Ohio is another recruiting drive for the blue wave. 🌊

Protesters start gathering outside around 2:00 PM and stay until Trump arrives. Doors at 2:30, program at 4:30, Trump speaks at 6. It's Indigenous Peoples' Day, so a lot of you have the day off. 👀

Bring water, stay on the sidewalk, and expect the Secret Service to move you around a bit. So far nobody's been pushed far back. I-680 into downtown is under construction and parking will be tight, so come early, and don't block anyone's driveway.

Peaceful protesters only. If you're coming to start trouble, stay home.

Trump isn't on the ballot in November, but Trumpism sure is. 🗳️ Did you make a plan to vote? Early voting in Ohio is open now through November 1st. Vote early and in person if you can, and bring a friend or family member. The sooner the better, because anything can happen: illness, car trouble, a family emergency, or this administration pulling a fast one on DEMOCRACY.
