Nisqually River chapter committee member Kyle Johnson and his Rainier High School FFA students helping renovate their office at the Thurston County Fairgrounds and Event Center (which happened to be the location of our fundraising banquet and auction this year).

Even if The National Wild Turkey Federation isn't involved directly, we're proud of our members for helping the community and empowering our youth!

Chapter member Ross Sharp and The Crazyelk Company made a huge financial contribution to our annual NWTF-Washington youth outreach event, JAKES Day.

Just because spring hunting season is over, doesn't mean turkeys don't stay on our mind 24/7! We have several great events happening this summer in Puyallup with NWTF-Washington including;

▪️Our youth event JAKES Day on July 18th
▪️Our Women In The Outdoors (WITO) event on August 22nd

Registration is open now for both events on www.nwtf.org/events

And don't forget about Washington states fall hunting season 🍁🍂 starting on September 1st!!

Registration is OPEN!!

JAKES Day, our NWTF-Washington annual youth outdoor event, is happening Saturday, July 18th at the Tacoma Sportsmen's Club from 1pm-4pm.

Kids ages 6-17 will have the opportunity to try their hand at the archery BB and .410 range, learn about wildlife and conservation, talk to law enforcement and first responders about outdoor and wilderness safety, and go home with some cool prizes!

All for just $20 🤯

Our chapter members have been a busy bunch this spring season! Here are some more recent highlights:

▪️ Heather Benkert harvested her first turkey!! With her hubby David Benkert of Operation Sasquatch PNW and their 2 daughters in camp 🥰
▪️Robert Beale got on the board for himself after mentoring youth and adult hunters to success all season long with NWTF and First Hunt Foundation 👏🏻👏🏻
▪️Matt Schreiber got out on his first turkey hunt at the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife and the Honor and Valor Foundation camp
▪️ Christian Hagenlocher was rewarded for lots of hard work this year by harvesting a rare western Washington Eastern 🦃👻
▪️ Travis Arnott successfully completed ANOTHER Washington Slam 🦃🦃🦃👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
