Mid Marion County Rotary Club is proud to announce that our 2026 Scholarship Committee, chaired by Alesia Owen, has awarded fourteen $1,000 scholarships to area high school graduates!

These scholarships are made possible through the support of our community, including our annual Radio Auction and Turkey Trot Festival. Supporting local students and investing in the future of our communities remains one of our club’s greatest priorities.

Congratulations to all of these outstanding students as they begin the next chapter of their education and future careers. We wish you continued success!

At Monday’s meeting of Mid Marion County Rotary Club, Sandy Evans served as our Rotarian of the Day and invited Cyle Gates from Gates Prosthetic and Mobility Clinic to speak to the club.

Cyle shared information about the important work their clinic is doing across northern Arkansas, helping individuals improve their mobility and quality of life through prosthetic and mobility services. Our members appreciated learning more about the impact their team is making in the communities they serve.

Thank you to Sandy for arranging an informative program and to Cyle Gates for taking the time to visit with our club!

This Monday and Tuesday morning, a group of Rotarians from Mid Marion County Rotary had the opportunity to spend time at Yellville-Summit Middle School presenting the Choices program to the 8th grade students.

The Choices program encourages students to recognize the importance of graduating high school, prioritizing their education, planning for the future, setting goals, practicing good time management, and understanding that they have the power to take control of their own lives and future success.

We are grateful to the school administration, teachers, and staff for welcoming us into the classroom, and we especially want to thank our Rotarians who volunteered their time these past two mornings to invest in our local students. Your willingness to mentor and encourage the next generation is greatly appreciated!

This Monday’s Mid Marion County Rotary Club meeting featured an impactful and eye-opening program. Rotarian of the Day Ron Proctor welcomed Amy Lanning with Into the Light, who shared the organization’s powerful mission to provide refuge and restoration for minor survivors of s*xual exploitation and to bring awareness and education to the issue of human s*x trafficking.

Amy’s message was both inspiring and a reminder of the difference communities can make when we come together for a cause that truly matters.

Into the Light will be hosting their Morning Light Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 7:30–9:00 AM at ASUMH – The Sheid. Breakfast is free, but seating is limited, so be sure to RSVP to reserve your spot.

We’re grateful to Amy for joining us and for the meaningful work Into the Light is doing in our region.
