Yarmouth Housing Collaborative connects neighbors and partners, supports promising housing opportunities, and advocates for long-term affordability. Workforce housing is economic and community development. A reminder for our Yarmouth neighbors: please join us Thursday, October 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. at 36 Cleaves Street as we celebrate the groundbreaking for 18 affordable one-bedroom homes. Stop by, meet the people behind the project, and be part of this next step for our community.

Arrival and parking: The event is on the grassy area behind Yarmouth Town Hall, near the picnic tables. Please do not park behind Town Hall, at Merrill Memorial Library, or at Rowe School. Parking is available in the Brickyard Hollow lot, and on Main Street, behind the log cabin and behind 317 Main Street. Allow a few minutes to park and walk to the event.

We’re breaking ground at 36 Cleaves Street on Thursday, October 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. Join 36 Cleaves Street, LLC and the Yarmouth Housing Collaborative as we mark the start of 18 affordable one-bedroom homes in the Village. This workforce housing is economic and community development. We’d love to see neighbors there and share more about what this project means for Yarmouth.

Project Spotlight: 36 Cleaves Street
This development in the Village Center will bring much-needed affordable rental homes to Yarmouth. We’re currently supporting project coordination, planning steps, and communication with residents as timelines evolve.

Yarmouth has set a community goal of creating 443 affordable homes over the next 10 years, a bold step to support essential workers, keep families in town, and strengthen our local economy.

Housing is a foundation for a thriving community. We’re excited to work with the Town and residents to help make this goal a reality. (pg 238-247)
