Hello all!

We'd like to propose a meet up time in August, to get together and brain storm in how to build this momentum!

Right now we are looking at August 11, 12, 13 or 14th from 6-8 pm.

Historically, LGBTQIA+ folks experience greater levels of poverty and less access to health care- the budget bill being voted on in the house threatens to wreck devastation on all members of our community and perpetuate that problem.

As providers and members of Yakima's health care community, we are uniquely positioned to advocate against this- please call Representative Dan Newhouse *right now* and urge him to vote no against this bill!

We showed up today!!!!!! Thank you to every single medical provider, behavioral health care provider, nurse, medical assistant, support staff, intern, director and medical leadership team member who supported this- by planning, collecting resources, reaching out to the community to get the word out, showing up and bringing friends, making the banner-it was a true community of collaborators who showed up today to let our community know no matter who is in power or what nonsense they say, *we* are the ones who provide care in this community and *we are committed to you*!

I hope every single one of you enjoys an amazing pride and an amazing weekend- and let's keep this momentum going! We showed up in this way- let's see what else we can do together to support our community!

Oh my gosh, tomorrow is the big day!

Some last minute reminders:

1)Show up between 8:30- 9:45 at Portia Park! (Corner of s 12th Ave and W Yakima Area)

2) Meet at Staging Area 1!

3) We will need 5-6 people to carry the banner, someone to be willing to step in if a banner carrier is tired, folks to pull the swag wagon, folks to pass out swag and folks to carry signs!!! Lots of roles!!

4) We have a limited supply of bandanas for humans and bandanas for pups!! These are on a first come first serve basis!

5) We'd love to have folks to dress up to represent the profession if that works for you! (We also understand if some folks are just going the fab parade lewk and totally support that too ;) )

This ruling is dangerous, prejudicial and unethical. And as a community we will continue to push back and fight against this- our track record of overcoming is outstanding.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court has imperiled access to health care for trans youth by upholding Tennessee’s ban on affirming care for trans youth and ruling that this anti-trans law is not unconstitutional.

This ruling places significant legal hurdles in our fight for LGBTQ+ freedom, but our commitment to equality without exception is unwavering. Our community has overcome legal challenges before, and we will do it again.
