Saddle up, hon! Rhinestone Rodeo Club June 5, 6 & 7 Est. 2017 Pride is for everyone!

Yachats Pride celebrates the free expression of gender, culture and sexual orientation of LGBT people and their Allies by hosting fun and educational events that celebrate diversity and help to eradicate discrimination and violence. Yachats Pride 2017 includes: Cris Williamson in Concert, Two Spirit Talk and Discussion, Mixed up Mixer (dinner), Gay Bingo Extravaganza, and Pride Family Picnic.

The Yachats Commons opens up at 9am-3pm for a community market full of local vendors and a community picnic hosted by Yachats Presbyterian Church with a choral performance by the Sweet Adelines. The Waldport Animal Shelter will be there for a meet & greet for local pet adoption 10 am-2 pm. The very fun furry Puppy Parade 1-2 will be a cute as heck inthe grassy area behind the Commons, a wild time where each pup gets a prize. Families, visitors, first-timers, and longtime locals, all of you, come as you are.

Sunday June 7 at the Yachats Commons is a full day of community, connection, and the most fabulous vendors on the Oregon Coast. Doors open at 9am and we go until 3pm.

We are excited to welcome 11 new vendors, many returning favorites and shoutout to Sourdough Shenanigans who has been with us since year one, through wind and monsoons and everything in between. 🥹

In a small coastal community without a q***r center or regular LGBTQ+ programming, Pride may be the only time all year these organizations are physically present and accessible. That makes this room not just a nice addition but genuinely essential.

Yachats, we see you and we love you. 🌈🧜‍♀️

We are one week out from our biggest Pride yet and we wanted to take a moment to talk directly to our community because you are why we do this.

As we grow we never want our locals to feel like they are on the outside looking in. You are the reason why this event exists, you always have been.

So we want to hear from you. What has been your favorite part of Pride over the years? What are you most excited about this year? What do you wish we could do more of? Your feedback genuinely shapes what we build next.

Here is something you may not know. There are a handful of us. All volunteers with full time jobs and full lives who spend months planning this event because we believe Q***r joy belongs on the Oregon Coast. Every single dollar that comes in goes right back into Pride for the following year.

If you want to be part of it we would love that. You can volunteer for even just an hour. You can donate supplies. You can share our posts. You can show up and bring someone who might be lonely. Every bit of it matters and every bit of it is felt.

We are so excited and so grateful to be approaching our 10th year. This small town with big Pride has become a blueprint for rural Pride across Oregon and it all started because Yachats showed up for its own community. We cannot wait to celebrate that with you next week.
