This recognition belongs to the many parents, family members, allies, volunteers, advocates, and supporters who have helped build PFLAG Columbus over the years. We are grateful to those who laid the foundation before us and to everyone helping shape what comes next.

Thank you to Human Rights Campaign Columbus for this recognition, and thank you to everyone who continues to show up, speak out, and walk alongside LGBTQ+ people and their families throughout Central Ohio.

We’re still taking in what it means to be recognized by HRC Columbus with the 2026 Community Leadership Award. 🏳️‍🌈

This recognition belongs to every parent, volunteer, advocate, board member, and community member — past and present — who helped build PFLAG Columbus into what it is today. Last year, we shared a vision of deeper collaboration across our community, and this year we’ve watched that spirit come to life in powerful ways. ❤️

We’ll be accepting this award at the HRC Columbus Dinner next Saturday ✨ so come celebrate with us, get dressed up, support LGBTQ+ advocacy, and hear what will definitely be a much better speech than this Facebook post. 😉 Details in the comments.

For decades, PFLAG Columbus has been a powerful source of advocacy, support, and connection for LGBTQ+ people and families across Central Ohio.

The action of the Georgia legislature returning to the state capital to reduce Black voting representation is nothing short of racism and discrimination. In addition to states like Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and others that are working to erode Black voting rights, we condemn the efforts to return to the Jim Crow era.
We’ll be joining the NAACP tonight to learn more about how we can fight—we hope you’ll join too!
