Join Us for the Worthington Memorial Day Parade! Sign Up Today!
We are excited to bring back the Worthington Swim Club float for the Worthington Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26, 2025. The parade starts promptly at 10:00 AM from the corner of East Dublin-Granville Road and Morning Street. The route is approximately 1.2 miles long and swimmers MUST have an adult walk with them at all times - dropping off a swimmer to walk alone is not permitted. We will send more specifics about meet-up time and location when we receive them from the American Legion.
Swimmers will need to wear comfortable shoes, a WSC shirt of their choosing, and dress appropriately, rain or shine.
Please use the sign-up link on the team’s web site to let us know that your family is planning on walking in the parade so we can purchase enough candy to pass out and water for participants. Swimmers ARE NOT permitted to walk by themselves in the parade, they must be accompanied by an adult to participate. There are also a few jobs for parents to sign up for to help the day go smoothly.
Safety Coordinator: These parents will help ensure that swimmers stay in front of or behind the truck/float at all times for safety reasons. No swimmers should be walking on either side of the truck/float.
Candy Coordinator: These parents will make sure candy is evenly distributed throughout the parade so we don’t run out of candy before the parade ends.
Special thanks to Mike Waldo, swim dad and owner of MacWaldo Commercial and Residential Landscaping (http://macwaldollc.com/), for driving and towing the float in this year’s parade!
