Welcome to Worthington, Chief Mylett!

The City of Worthington is pleased to announce the selection of Stephen Mylett as the new Chief of the Worthington Division of Police. Chief Mylett has over 35 years of experience in law enforcement, most recently serving as Chief of Police in Akron.

“We conducted an extensive recruitment and evaluation process for our next Police Chief and I am excited to welcome Chief Mylett to Worthington,” said City Manager Robyn Stewart.

“He brings a wealth of experience and he is committed to developing close relationships with the community, leading our talented team of officers, and enhancing the skills and service of our police division.”

National Night Out - Tuesday, August 6, 2024. National Night Out is a national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. Every year, Worthington Police & Dairy Queen partner up to participate in this program, and we're celebrating again this year by delivering ice cream to you! As we have done in years past, we will have several time slots available for personalized delivery and static locations to visit.

Don't miss this great opportunity for children to learn the fishing basics while connecting with local police officers in a positive environment. Officers will be on hand to help children bait hooks and catch and release fish. A prize will be given for the largest fish caught!

Rods and bait will be provided, but children are welcome to bring their own. This is a FREE parent/child activity, but only children are permitted to fish.
