Yesterday at Wooster Rotary, we were excited to welcome Sarah Douglass of Catalpadale Farms! 🐄🌾

Sarah is a third-generation dairy farmer who oversees the day-to-day operations of her family’s three Wayne County dairies. She gave us a great look into the family operation, the dairy industry, and what it takes to manage a modern farming business.

We’re grateful to Sarah for sharing her experience, knowledge, and passion for agriculture with our Rotary members. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about one of the important industries that makes Wayne County so special! 💙

Thank you, Sarah, for joining us! 👏🐄

We took Wooster Rotary on the road today with an off-site meeting at the College of Wooster.

We began at Rotarian Anne McCall's Presidential house and then headed out for a tour of the greenway and Compton Hall. It was a great opportunity to get an inside look at what's happening on campus and learn more about these spaces. Rotarians had the opportunity to walk the campus or enjoy a complimentary ride in the Fighting Scots bus!

Thank you for having us, President McCall!

Today at Wooster Rotary, we were pleased to hear from fellow Rotarian Susan Buchwalter, who provided an update on the Wayne County Committee Caring for Children & Adults. Susan highlighted the committee's ongoing efforts to improve the lives of Wayne County residents through collaboration, advocacy, and strong community partnerships.

We also celebrated an important Rotary tradition as we held our annual Leadership Transition ceremony. Congratulations to President-Elect Marty Starkey on her installation as the next President of the Wooster Rotary Club! We look forward to the year ahead under her leadership.

A special thank you to outgoing President Alan Kiefer for his dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to our club throughout the past year. We are grateful for all he has done to help our club continue making a positive impact in our community.

Lastly, we were able to capture a special moment with several of our past and current female Rotary presidents. Their leadership, vision, and service have helped shape the strong Rotary tradition we enjoy today.

Today at Wooster Rotary, we were inspired by Lauren Michel and students from Wooster High School Best Buddies program. Their presentation highlighted the meaningful relationships being built through the program and the positive impact it is having on both students and the school community. It was encouraging to hear firsthand how inclusion, friendship, and support are making a difference in the lives of everyone involved.

We also had the privilege of recognizing several Rotarians for their commitment to service. Paul Harris Fellow Awards were presented, and service pins were awarded to members celebrating milestones ranging from 5 years to more than 50 years of Rotary membership.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and thank you to Lauren and the Best Buddies students for reminding us of the power of connection, kindness, and community.
