We had a special program at Wooster Rotary today as we heard from our two exchange students, Akshara and Mamo!

Both students shared more about themselves, their home countries, and what brought them to this experience. It was a great opportunity to learn about different cultures, traditions, and perspectives—something that makes the Rotary Youth Exchange Program so meaningful.

We were also glad to have a few of their host families join us for the presentations. Their support plays such an important role in making this experience possible, and it was nice to recognize the impact they have behind the scenes.

Today at Wooster Rotary, we had the privilege of hearing from Joe and Walt with the Cycling Without Age program of Knox County.

Cycling Without Age is a unique initiative dedicated to creating meaningful connections and enhancing quality of life by giving seniors and individuals with limited mobility the chance to experience the outdoors—often from the seat of a specially designed trishaw bicycle.

Joe and Walt shared how this program is making a real impact across our region, offering not just rides, but moments of joy, fresh air, and connection that truly make a difference in people’s lives.

It was an inspiring reminder of how simple acts of service can bring dignity, purpose, and community to those around us.

We had an incredible program at Wooster Rotary Club today!

Holly Custer joined us alongside several talented students from Wooster High School’s Speech and Debate team. She shared highlights from their program and gave us a deeper look into how students are developing critical thinking, communication skills, and confidence through speech and debate.

We were especially honored to hear from three students who each delivered powerful speeches in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Their presentations were thoughtful, well-crafted, and a great reminder of the impact young voices can have when given the opportunity to be heard.

Thank you to Holly and these outstanding students for inspiring us and giving us a glimpse into the future of strong, confident leaders in our community! 👏
