Today September 25th Tyler County Farm Bureau hosted Ag Education Day at the Tyler County Fairgrounds.

This annual event invites all 4th Grade Students in Tyler County for Agriculture Based Education Lessons which meet the Science TEKS for 4th grade.

This year we had presentations over timber , cattle , pollination and beekeeping, various ag products grown in Texas, wildlife management and more.

We would like to thank the 5 school districts for participating, we had students from each of the public elementary schools in the county.

In addition the FFA Officer teams from Chester, Spurger , Warren and Woodville served as leaders for these groups!

Hay Samples are now being received for testing. this program is for Tyler County producers. Deadline is September 19, 2025. You can take your hay samples to Tolar Feed, Motts Hardware, TYCO Feed, Tyler county Farm Bureau, or Tyler County Agents office. Samples will be sent to Dairy one for testing. Results will be provided on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at the Annual Tyler County Hay Show, Woodville Burke Center. Trade Show will begin at 5:00 p.m. Meal and program provided. Hay Show Awards and Auction to follow for Longleaf Scholarship fund. Great event, good time and opportunity to learn more about forage production and network. See you there!!
