Thanks to all who turned out for the work session on Saturday morning. The road side vegetation, ivy and low hanging tree branches were cut back allowing for better visibility and safer passage on this narrow section of the road between Woodstown House entrance and the Saratoga. The Council will hopefully clear the verges shortly. Watch this space for details of next session...

Woodstown Residents Association is first and foremost a community organisation which exists primarily because we want to help each other as a community. Our mission is to enhance the environment of the Woodstown locality both for local residents and for visitors who appreciate what Woodstown has to offer.
We work closely with Waterford City and County Council and our local political representatives to deliver necessary works. We strive to give everyone in the area the opportunity to help out in practical ways and thereby enhance the social life of the community.
Without community involvement, we could not carry out the work that has already been done to improve things for everyone. We hope as you go about your daily routines that you can see tangible evidence of our activities on the beach and all approach roads in the area. Here are a few recent examples of what has been achieved for the benefit of the community:

• Seats, bins and planting at the car park.
• Regular beach clean-up.
• Roadside trees planted at the Gap.
• Harristown well roadside project.
• Servicing and maintenance of two defibrillators, at the Saratoga and JB’s.
• On-going repairs to potholes and full resurfacing in some areas.
• New road safety measures in the area of the Gap.
• Text messaging service for all residents.
• SVP charity collection in December.
• Flowerbed planting at townland signs.

We rely greatly on an occasional public appeal for funds. The last such appeal was over three years ago. Our funds are now at a low level. This will curtail many of our activities including new planting and routine maintenance of the grass and hedges.
We are appealing for your financial help. Please contribute to this worthwhile community-building work; you can make your contribution in a number of ways…
-Via bank transfer to :- PTSB Woodstown Residents Association , BIC IPBSIE2D, IBAN IE17IPBS99063100187541

-Any committee member will accept donations which for which a receipt will be issued.

- You may also make a contribution in cash or cheque in an envelope to the secure Woodstown Residents collection box in Jaybees Shop at any time. *(Please include name of donor with all contributions to enable acknowledgement)

Thanks on behalf of Woodstown Residents Association.
