From winning at the District and Area levels to advancing to the finals, C**t Nelson capped off an incredible season by being named the Texas FFA State Champion in Extemporaneous Speaking! 🏆

Today, Julianna and C**t competed at the Texas FFA State Speaking Contest.

Advancing to the state level is no small feat, and we're proud of the dedication, talent, and countless hours of preparation that helped them get there.

Congratulations to Julianna on a 10th-place finish in Senior Prepared Public Speaking – Plant Science Division!

And congratulations to C**t Nelson for placing 5th in Senior Prepared- Agribusiness Division and advancing to the Extemporaneous Speaking Finals!

Best of luck to C**t as he competes tomorrow.

We’re on the brink of Summer Break, but we’re definitely not slowing down! ☀️🎉

We just received word that Carson and C**t are both TEXAS FFA SCHOLARSHIP FINALISTS and will interview on June 1st for the final step in the process!

This is such a big accomplishment because these scholarships aren’t easy to earn. It takes years of hard work in FFA, leadership, community involvement, and academics throughout their time in agricultural classes and FFA activities.

👏 Leadership Recognition
• C**t Nelson carried out his duties as Area President during both sessions and officially retired from Area Office.
• Makenzi served as the Area Courtesy Corps and received her new District Officer jacket.
• Riley and Ella served as voting delegates, helping select the State Qualifying Talent Team, State Officer Candidate, and Area Officer Team.

We had an outstanding group of Chapter Officer candidates, and it was a very close race all the way through. Every student who ran put in the work, showed leadership, and represented themselves with confidence. We’re proud of each and every one of you for stepping up.
