Multiple fallen trees and power outages were reported after high winds and heavy rain took a hit on areas of Woodside and Portola Valley. Redwood City firefighters are currently responding to a two-alarm structure fire after a vehicle crashed into the Hassett Ace Hardware store at Woodside Plaza in Redwood City. First responders received the call around 5:13 p.m. on Dec. 15.

Firefighters responded to a single-alarm house fire in Portola Valley on the corner of Corte Madera and Campo Road on Nov. 21. Fire officials received an initial call at 1:42 p.m. for a smoke investigation but upon inspection firefighters quickly spotted flames.
