Very helpful evacuation exercise in Portola Valley. Thank you, Woodside Fire, and thank you to all who support WFPD through the foundation.

The Woodside Fire Protection District hosted a large-scale evacuation drill on Sept. 11 as concerns over evacuation routes and wildfire risks continue to grow in Portola Valley. The drill began with a simulated vehicle fire on Bucks Meadows Drive.

Redwood City firefighters are currently responding to a two-alarm structure fire after a vehicle crashed into the Hassett Ace Hardware store at Woodside Plaza in Redwood City. First responders received the call around 5:13 p.m. on Dec. 15.
