The League of Women Voters of Yolo County was proud to celebrate the talented students who participated in this year’s Civic Participation Art Contest Awards Night! Thank you to the Libraries, the Election Office, and the Yolo County Office of Education for supporting this opportunity for students to express their voices through art while highlighting the importance of civic engagement.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our back-to-back Candidate Forums ahead of the June Primaries! The evening was a great success and an amazing opportunity to truly get to know the candidates for Superior Court Judge and Board of Supervisors District 3. We’re grateful to everyone who participated in such meaningful civic dialogue and helped make the event such a positive experience for our community.

We had a great time in the Picnic Day Parade this past Sunday! With beautiful weather, 14 of us including UCD students marched to promote voter registration and participation. The community was so welcoming, and we handed out lots of stickers to encourage voting. Hope you saw us there!

On April 30th get a behind-the-scenes look at how elections work in Yolo County! The Elections Office is hosting an Observation & Transparency Workshop (9 AM) where you’ll learn what to expect in the June 2 Primary, followed by public Logic & Accuracy testing (11 AM) to verify voting equipment at the Elections Office at the Yolo County Administration Building on 625 Court Street, Room B-05, Woodland, CA 95695.

Open to all however any interested parties are encouraged to RSVP by 5pm on April 27 to [email protected] to attend!
