Fish First- North Fork Lewis River Fish First is a non-profit 501c3 organization based in Woodland, WA. It was started in 1995 by Gary We believe salmon and steelhead runs are worth recovering.

There are many good reasons to save these fish, but here are the top four:

FULL CYCLE OF RECOVERY

Fish First believes in restoring the cycle in a way consistent with nature's model. It does this by employing a full cycle of recovery, which requires:

1) Removing migration barriers;
2) Replacing nutrients to the stream;
3) Restoring habitat to native conditions; and
Reintroducing native genetics to the stream through egg boxes and live plants.
