Who is the Yolo County Fair Heritage Foundation?

Simply put: we are your neighbors, friends, and community members working together for a place we love!

The YCFHF is made up entirely of volunteers who believe the Yolo County Fairgrounds serves a vital purpose in our county. Whether it’s restoring aging facilities, sponsoring youth activities, or passing down fairtime traditions, our goal is to show the next generation what true community looks like.

Driven by an all-volunteer Board and incredible supporters, there are no paid staff here—just people donating funds, advice, and countless hours.

Together, we’ve accomplished so much:
🔹 $1.7+ Million contributed toward fairground improvements
🔹 1,200+ Volunteer Hours donated during fair time alone
🔹 Annual sponsorships for fairtime events and youth programs

None of this happens without you. Thank you for helping us keep the heritage alive! ❤️ Please share your pictures of YCFHF volunteers getting things done!!!

YCFHF is proud to be the stewards to the Joe Gates Memorial Scholarship and the Lafe and Lorena Kincaid Memorial Scholarship.
Lafe Kincaid moved his family to Woodland in 1965 to teach Ag at Woodland High School. He and his wife were activity in the 4H and FFA communities. He could be found walker and later wheel chair bound giving advise in the barns up until he passed in 2018 with Lorena following him in Jan of 2019.
Joe was the Auctioneer for YCF and SS for at least 2 generations of exhibitors. He knew his exhibitors and the buyers bringing a great atmosphere to all of the auctions. Joe passed in 2021 from Covid complications. The first auction after his passing Macie Timothy donated her Champion lamb to be auctioned to establish this scholarship which is opened to 4H and FFA students pursuing an education in an Ag related field.
THIS YEAR's recipient of both of the scholarships is Alani Lopez an outstanding individual from the Winters FFA Chapter.

💥 NIGHT 2 OF THE YOLO COUNTY FAIR DESTRUCTION DERBY IS HERE! 🚗💨

Get ready for more smashed steel, roaring engines, and absolute chaos tonight at the Yolo County Fairgrounds! The arena will be packed, the engines will be revving, and we want to keep you in the action—not stuck waiting in line.

Before you grab your seats tonight, let's give a massive shoutout to the backbone of our community! 🙌 ALL of the amazing people working the bars, snack bars, and ticket stands tonight and multiple events throughout the Fair are 100% VOLUNTEERS. They are giving up their night to support local programs, so please give them a huge thank you and a smile when you get your refreshments! 💛

Here is your guide to beat the crowds and grab your refreshments fast:

Front Entrance Double Lines: Look right near the main arena entrance. There are two back-to-back drink ticket lines stretching out toward each of the front bars.

Northeast Corner Bar: Skip the main entrance crowd entirely and head to the third bar tucked away in the northeast corner of the arena. NO TICKETS SOLD AT THIS BAR.

The Encore Bar: You can beat the rush here because they are ALSO selling drink tickets directly at the bar!

Margarita Booth Bypass: Located just outside the arena, the Margarita Booth is selling drink tickets too.

Bonus: Tickets bought here are good inside the derby, and vice versa!

Grab your tickets, find your seat, and let's get ready to rumble Woodland! 🎟️🍻
