All the piggies are enjoying roaming while we have a nice warm, but overcast day before we roll into a heatwave with daily temps reaching 100+ degrees. Here’s a handsome pic of one of our sweetest residents 💙

As some of you may remember, Mr. Munchie came to us after a friend, Joyce Nations, called asking for help in regards to a baby pig who was found living at a homeless encampment in a tiny makeshift enlosure. The camp was scheduled to be raided/evicted that day and Joyce was able to get there in time to pick him up before animal control had to get involved.

During that time, our other friends Snouts of Sedona offered to cover his neuter cost which was incredible! Especially because we soon realized he appeared to be cryptorchid and sure enough, our vets confirmed he was.

With that being said, he needed a more invasive surgery which our other amazing friends Reject Ranch offered to give him a ride to his appointment!

Talk about an incredible team effort and reason why it’s so important that rescues work TOGETHER! 🫶🏻

Mr. Munch celebrates his 3rd year rescuversary this month with us! 🙌🏻🎉🎉🎉

Cassidy 🤦🏼‍♀️
She chose to lay in many 💩 piles over night and is left looking like this.
Is it just me or are all the white/light colored horses always doing everything in their power to remain stained and dirty 24-7?
For those who are new here, Cassidy is an older (maybe 20) Andalusian mare who came to us from a horrible hoarding/neglect case involving over 100 completely unhandled horses 2 1/2 years ago. While she still doesn’t care much for people, she’s settled in and gets to call our home, her home…forever. No more breeding, no more starving and having to fight for food, no more trauma. Just peace, comfort and her own little herd.
If only she’d let me hose her down but that’s a HARD NO⛔️

These two sweet boys time are UP and need out ASAP! They have been at the shelter since April 16th. Even after being transferred from one location to another…but are now in desperate need of placement.
We are lacking funding, homes, and more.

I love this girl so much. She is almost always the last one to come into the barn for snack/dinner time as she’s usually busy hanging out under the pepper tree or her favorite sweet lemon tree.

From being abandoned by her owners and left behind for animal control to pick her up and take her to the shelter, to finding sanctuary here with our farmily thanks to our friends The Rescue Train.

Ruby came here obese, nippy due to visibility issues caused from her excessive weight, feeling depressed from loosing her home and being bounced around, to now having her very own piggy friends and has learned to love humans again. In fact, in her own way, she demands belly rubs, b***y scratches and special attention while gracing you with her presence 👑🐷

Who knew she’d become one of my besties ❤️ I share this in the hopes of inspiring someone to adopt that shelter pig! Foster! Adopt from a rescue! Because this can be the outcome with the right environment, love, patience and more.

All 3 of our ranch dogs got groomed yesterday at home thanks to our friend at Painted Poniez by Tiffani Anne ! We have to have mobile grooming as 2 out of 3 of our dogs have anxiety so we make sure to keep things as comfortable as possible and each time they get better and better! No sedation, no muzzle, nothing - just time, patience and routine. Everyone needed it so badly lol. Between smearing themselves in grease, horse p**p, you name it…we smell it. Plus it’s summer which is shedding season all around! Especially since our ranch dogs also spend most of them time indoors…it was time again 😂🐾🐾🐾😷

🎉 ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT 🎉

Phoenix has FINALLY found his forever person!
He came from a huge hoarding case over 2 years ago and has had trainers quit on him, adoptions fall through last minute, or just had flippers interested in him. We were told to give up, but that’s not an option. Many of these horses have been very challenging and have even taken specific trainers to work with certain horses. Our friends at Roebuck Ranch had no hesitation taking him on and she’s pulled off miracles with him!

Lucky, his new adopter, fell in love with him immediately and is eager to continue working with Phoenix and becoming the perfect team! I couldn’t be happier and not only is his person amazing, so is his new home/barn!

He made it safely and is settling in well! Phoenix really turned his charm on at the right time and it was meant to be ❤️ Congrats Phoenix!!! And congrats Lucky on finding your new partner!
