🏀 WYBA Evaluation Nights Are Next Week! 🏀

The excitement is building! We now have 80+ athletes registered for the 2026-27 season, and we’re looking forward to another great year of Winterset basketball.

We’re also getting very close to having enough players for a 3rd-grade girls team! If you know an incoming 3rd-grade girl who may be interested in basketball, we’d greatly appreciate you sharing this post. Evaluation Night is a great opportunity to learn more about WYBA, and there is no obligation to play by attending.

📅 July 13 – 3rd & 4th Grade
🏀 Girls: 5:00–6:30 PM
🏀 Boys: 6:30–8:00 PM

📅 July 14 – 5th & 6th Grade
(Updated times due to the potential Winterset softball substate game.)

🏀 Boys: 5:30–7:00 PM

Huge shoutout to the 10 athletes who completed their first punch card by attending 8 Skills Night sessions!

We love seeing these athletes continue to show up, work hard, and get better each time they step in the gym. Their commitment and effort are exactly what we want WYBA to be about.

As a reward, each athlete earned a Frostees gift card for a FREE half cyclone! 🍦🏀

Congratulations to all of our punch card finishers! Keep showing up. Keep working hard. Keep getting better.

🏀 Join WYBA for the 2026-27 Basketball Season! 🏀

Registration is still open for incoming 3rd-6th grade boys and girls interested in playing basketball this winter!

We currently have almost 70 athletes registered and most divisions have enough for at least one team. Several divisions are on pace for 2 teams! Thank you for all of your support!

WYBA provides a structured, development-focused basketball experience designed to help athletes improve their skills, compete, and prepare for the future while representing the Huskies.

📅 Evaluation Schedule
July 13 – 3rd & 4th Grade
🏀 Girls: 5:00–6:30 PM
🏀 Boys: 6:30–8:00 PM

July 14 – 5th & 6th Grade
🏀 Girls: 5:00–6:30 PM
🏀 Boys: 6:30–8:00 PM

📍 Winterset Middle School

There is no cost to attend evaluations.

If multiple teams are formed:
✅ 3rd-grade teams will be balanced.
✅ 4th-6th grade teams will be stratified based on evaluation results.

Can't make evaluation night? We know summer schedules are busy! Contact us and we'll arrange an alternative evaluation through a summer skills session, camp, or make-up evaluation.

The Winterset Girls Basketball camp will be June 15-18th for 2nd-6th graders! Go Huskies!!

Get your incoming 2nd-8th grader signed up to attend our annual Youth Boys Basketball Camp!
Dates are July 20-24th!

So much opportunities! This is a fan favorite! Join us, 5th-8th graders, on Wednesday nights! Go Huskies!!

We are excited to partner with Winterset Girls Basketball again to do our 5th annual Summer 3on3 League!
The only change is that it will be for incoming 5th-8th grade boys and girls!
Kids get 45 minutes of skill work led by the High School coaching staff and then they play 3, 10-minute 3on3 games each session.
Teams are randomly generated each week.
