rking to change the future for children in Winters. Kiwanis exists to help children around the world. Some popular projects that help kids include installing reading rooms in schools, packing backpacks with school supplies and programs that teach skills or provide safety lessons. The members of this new Kiwanis club will look at the needs of children in the community and decide the projects that will benefit local kids.

We’re teaming up with Hooby's Co****le and Winters Youth Day to kick off a weekend of fun while raising funds for youth scholarships! This year's theme is "Youth Ahoy" so come dressed in your best pirate, nautical, or ocean-themed gear.

The Kiwanis Club of Winters is helping to recruit volunteers for Generation Wealth, a financial literacy program hosted by Travis Federal Credit Union for students at Winters Middle School and Winters High School.

Generation Wealth gives students the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned about budgeting, needs versus wants, and financial decision-making in a safe, hands-on environment. Volunteers support students as they work through real-life scenarios, helping them gain confidence and practical life skills.

No financial background is needed—just a willingness to encourage students and support their learning.

The Kiwanis Club of Winters is postponing our Co****le Tournament Fundraiser to the spring, but don’t worry—it will happen! Due to low team registrations, we want to make sure the event is even bigger and better when it launches.

All prizes already collected will be held for the spring tournament, and we’ll share the new date and details as soon as it’s confirmed.

Have you registered for the Kiwanis Club of Winters Fundraiser Co****le Tournament yet? It's a great way to have fun while making a difference for local youth. The Tournament is hosted by Hooby's Brewing in Winters on Oct. 12 at 12 p.m. It supports our scholarship and our youth service leadership clubs. Win cash prizes in the Competitive Tournament ($60/team) or a gift basket of local goodies in the Social Tournament ($50/team). We had an amazing interclub work meeting with the Kiwanis Club of Greater Sacramento and Laguna-Elk Grove members. We gained insight and new ideas from their experience and shared new things with them. And we had the honor of hosting Lt. Govenors Dave Arnold and Rita Germain, and Trustee Dan Germain. We put together another round of Summer Sipper packs for the Kiwanis Family House. We hope they got more photos than we did. 😆 We definitely had a great time and got to make new connections with other Kiwanians.

We were able to put together about 50 Summer Sipper packs at our meeting today. Save the date for Wednesday, July 23. We're going to put together another round!
