Many of us say we believe this, but I am not sure we actually believe this truth until something happens that is totally and utterly the opposite of anything we imagined could occur. Sarah Michelle Landauer unexpectedly passed away on March 9th, 2011. If you never had the opportunity to meet this incredible girl, first, I am truly sorry and second, you should know this was a loss that hurt the hea
rts of many people; the thousands of people that Sarah loved so well. The beautiful thing is that despite the injured hearts, people are remembering the life Sarah lived and have a desire to live the same way. The life Sarah lived on this Earth was not perfect by any means, but it was a life sought after Christ. She strived to love those around her and that love is why people are doing something. That is why we are doing this golf tournament. Aside from people, Sarah loved playing sports, specifically, soccer. She dreamed of playing college soccer. Shortly after Sarah passed away, there was a soccer scholarship fund set up at the University of Florida so every year a girl will receive a scholarship to play soccer at the University of Florida. This golf tournament is raising funds for this scholarship fund so young girls can continue Sarah’s dream.
