Coro Restaurant

Uncommon flavors, experimentation, creativity, passion, and hospitality — these are the words that, for us, best describe Coro Restaurant.

It is a purist and innovative concept built around a regularly changing menu, seasonal and fresh ingredients sourced from local farms, and a philosophy where each dish is not simply a meal, but an experience that tells a story through its presentation, flavors, and elements.

Inside the kitchen, you will find something different from the usual approach. Rather than following the classic kitchen brigade structure, Coro brings together a group of young, yet highly experienced and exceptionally talented chefs who combine their individual journeys and imagination to express themselves through avant-garde cuisine.

This team of chefs creates, prepares, cooks, and personally presents their dishes to the table, becoming an active part of the guest’s dining experience.

Creative freedom, respect for every ingredient, support for local farms and businesses, and the constant desire to innovate while continuously pushing their own limits are what have positioned Coro as one of Orlando’s best restaurants. Without a doubt, one of the most beautifully executed culinary and artistic experiences in the city.

Congratulations to on earning its new Michelin Bib Gourmand 2026 distinction.

What do we remember most about a restaurant? For some, it may be the waiting time, the flavor of the food, the quality of the service, or the number of zeros on the bill.

Perhaps the answer is different for each of us, but if there is one thing we will always remember, it is how
that place made us feel.

Port 27 has that special something that makes it feel different from any other place. More than just somewhere to eat, it is a space for human connection where you can experience a variety of cultural moments, including culinary ones.

As you walk through its hallways, surrounded by small wooden houses, each one offers a different experience: from a vinyl record shop featuring catalogs of artists like The Beatles and Celia Cruz, to an art studio where you can learn real painting and craft techniques, and
up to five different culinary options, whether it be pizza, tacos, crêpes, sushi, or cheeseburgers.

Its natural spaces encourage a human connection with nature. This is not merely botanical decoration; it is a place built around the local flora, one that has learned to coexist with it in harmony, as a single living space.

If you are someone who appreciates music, you will find the live performances fascinating, as the band brings the entire audience together through songs in both English and Spanish.

The combination of nature, landscaping, craftsmanship, music, and gastronomy within one unique experience results in the social and cultural integration of those who live it and share it.

At Open Scene, we believe the arts are a bridge: connecting communities, preserving cultural memory, and linking our to the world through shared stories, rhythms, and experiences.

The word “Paraguaná” means “small farm over the sea” in the Caquetío language.

This land is deeply rich in culture and tradition; its terrain, the blending of peoples, and five centuries of
mestizaje have forged a strong cultural and artistic identity. Paraguaná is Caribbean, desert, and mountain and above all, a place of remarkable food.

The restaurant “Pa’ Paraguaná” .paraguana reinterprets and weaves the culture, symbols, and traditions of its homeland into a simple yet meaningful culinary proposal. Its menu features empanadas filled with beloved classics such as ham and cheese or shredded beef, alongside the most authentic flavors of the region, including goat and seafood.

Beyond its menu, the space itself is imbued with cultural codes, each carrying a deeper meaning. This is far more than decoration: every plant, every painting, and every song playing in the background has been carefully chosen to evoke the spirit of the homeland.

The atmosphere communicates warmth, family, and tradition through every detail—naïf paintings adorning the walls, wicker-covered lamps, poetry printed on napkins, and even the cardón cacti. The objects are the medium; their symbolism is the message.

In a market increasingly saturated with minimalist concepts, Pa’ Paraguaná chose the opposite path. It remains steadfastly faithful to its roots, takes great pride in them, and has boldly decided to share them with an entirely different audience.

At Open Scene, we believe the arts are a bridge: connecting communities, preserving
cultural memory, and linking our to the world through shared stories, rhythms, and experiences.

In our Caribbean culture, African heritage plays a much larger role than we often realize. It is present not only in our mixed identities, but also in our music, customs, and traditions. It shapes our gastronomy and, in many cases, even our spirituality. One example of this is the song “Oh, Santa Rosa” by Afro-Venezuelan artist Betsayda Machado, an important global voice for Afro-Caribbean culture.

About her NPR performance, journalist Catalina Maria Johnson wrote:

“Machado’s Tiny Desk included captivating Afro-Venezuelan music rooted in the freedom songs of the village of El Clavo. Music is the native language of El Clavo, a village founded by escaped enslaved persons who fled to create secret communities in the cacao-growing region near Venezuela’s central coast. The people of El Clavo trace their roots back to , and every story and celebration carries songs that evolved over time into parties, parades, and processions. There is even a particularly special song dedicated to Santa Rosa, the saint of enslaved people who escaped to freedom.”

Our cultural recommendation of the week is to listen to this Tiny Desk performance, available on YouTube through NPR Music Tiny Desk.
For those of us from the Caribbean, these sounds feel like familiarity and warmth. For those who are not, it is a beautiful way to better understand parts of our culture, history, and spirit.

At Open Scene, we believe the arts are a bridge: connecting communities, preserving cultural memory, and linking our to the world through shared stories, rhythms, and experiences.

Florida. Sacramento. Los Angeles. San Francisco. The Rio Grande. This land has carried the sound of Spanish for centuries — part of the shared story of North America.

The first permanent European settlement in what is now the United States wasn’t Jamestown, but San Agustín, Florida, founded in 1565. It’s a reminder that our histories are layered, interconnected, and deeply rooted across this continent.

Today, 62 million Spanish speakers contribute to a vibrant cultural, economic, and creative landscape — a presence that continues to shape who we are.

We are North American. We are part of this story. And there is so much to be proud of.
