We are always shocked by some of the items that are donated to us for resell. Sometimes shocked because they are really bad and sometimes because they are really, really good! This strapless purple label Ralph Lauren strapless top is new with tags, has exquisite rhinestone detail, and has the highest price tag of any clothing item we’ve received. Unfortunately it also has some sort of staining on the bottom front and side. Besides a soft cloth and water, I'm scared to try anything. Any suggestions? Once cleaned, the proceeds of the sale of this boutique top will benefit the Winston Salem Street School. If it comes clean, it can be listed for a much higher price.

Have you check out the new wsssresale Instagram page or the luvitsales Poshmark closet this week? There’s now 70 items added to Instagram and all of the items that were donated with proceeds going to the WSSS are now marked with a 💚 in the Poshmark closet.

Items get listed first on Poshmark then transferred over to Instagram so there are a lot more items on Posh. Prices on Instagram are lower because there are no fees.

Stay tuned later this evening for a video with some new items being listed this week!

There is a new place to shop! WSSS Resale is now on Instagram!

It’s going to take a little while to get items added, but we will continue to list new, boutique, name brand, quirky, unique and vintage items available for both local pick up and shipping. We are adding clothing, accessories, shoes, home decor, holiday items and more with proceeds going to the Winston Salem Street School.

Rummage Sales aren’t the only way we raise funds for the Winston-Salem Street School. There is a team of women that work year round reselling the “special finds”. These are the items that are new with tags, boutique, name brand, vintage, unique and more sought after. We post these items on Facebook Buy/Sell groups, take them to consignment and other resale stores, host pop up garage shows, and list the items on sites like Poshmark, eBay and Mercari. Here’s an example of some items that are currently being listed on Poshmark. Comment if you want to know how to continue to support the school and shop these items.

Where did all of the stuff left at the end of the Rummage Sale go?

You will be happy to know that your donations went to further help our community.

We arranged with TROSA Thrift Store Winston-Salem to pick up the majority of items left over. Thanks to their team and a host of Rummage Sale volunteers, we filled 2 box trucks with donations that they will sell at their thrift store located on Peter's Creek Parkway. Trosa provides free housing, meals, clothing, vocational and life skills training, counseling and classes, health services, mentorship, and more for individuals with substance abuse disorders. Their thrift store helps fund their programs.

The remaining coats went to the Community Coat Closet and the Food Bank Garden picked up any remaining garden items.

We were pleased to be able to support the Winston-Salem Street School AND these organizations. We hope you will take a minute to learn more about each and the great work that they do.

Shoppers came out in droves for the Black Bag Sale that we had Saturday Afternoon. It was rather fun watching to see just how much shoppers could fit in each bag.

We appreciate the donation of all those black bags from Harris Teeter, Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods!

This was the second sale that Cory Russell and his crew stepped up and helped us with. They drove up and got right to work!!

Here's a huge thank you to Cory, his family and his crew from his company, ELEC LLC, for providing the transportation and manpower necessary to get all of the stuff in storage over to our sale location. Then for being there at the end of the sale to help return the racks and sale supplies back to storage. We so appreciate your support of our Resale efforts and of the Winston-Salem Street School!

If you shopped with us last Friday or Saturday, you know just how much Hope Presbyterian Church of Winston-Salem allowed us to transform this beautiful space. We are so appreciative for the use of the space and the volunteer muscle power to remove all the chairs and set up tables, and then transform it back again for service on Sunday. Our sale was big and loud and very messy, but we were welcomed by the staff and church volunteers with open arms.

We collected items for over a year for our Rummage Sale last weekend. Thanks to Sunbird Storage - Country Club Winston Salem, we've had clean, safe, easy to access storage units for sorting, packing, and of course...storing.

We are truly blessed to be one of the organizations that receive donations from the snob shop in Winston Salem. We get such wonderful treasures, and based on our shoppers' reviews, they were excited to find such high quality items at our sale.

If you've never stopped by the snob shop, then be sure to check it out. They have such an eclectic array of higher end, name brand home decor, housewares, furniture, clothing, accessories and more. Because they are a consignment shop, there is always something new to see.
