We are honored and excited to have received two community grants!
The Winston Salem Foundation and the WS/FCS Educational Foundation provided grants to Atkins High School to help support this amazing event.

The support of the Winston-Salem Foundation has given us a financial structure that makes it possible to include every part of the event we dreamed of.

One of the first-ever grants from the WS/FCS Education Foundation took us from the red into the black, ensuring that the entire event is funded from STEM to stern. (Plus I got to make a pirate/education pun!)

Board Members M***a Ervin and Jeff Rodgers were recognized, along with 15 other recipients, at the WS/FCS Board meeting last night. We are humbled and grateful to have this level of community support for this amazing event.

We can't wait to see y'all at the Game Jam!!

A year ago, this was a big dream. In less than a month, that dream becomes a reality. Thank you SO MUCH to every person and organization that is making this possible.
This is going to be a GOOD TIME!

Industry professionals and exhibitors will be flying in from around the country to work directly with student developers and hang with the public. Students will be working as teams to make a complete game from scratch in just two days. Can they do it? Absolutely. Watch it happen.

The story so far:
-We have received over $13,000 in equipment and donations.
-We have developers coming from Epic Games, TakeTwo (includes Rockstar and 2K), Cryptic Games, and Riot Games.
- We have exhibitors coming from colleges, local businesses, and nonprofits including UNCSA, Wake Forest, Winston Salem State, and Western Carolina.
- MIXXER will be here, doing what they do best with interactive exhibits.
- At least three high schools will be represented from two different districts.
- We will have more big names in attendance than you can shake a stick at.

I mean... that's pretty cool.
We are glad to be a part of it! You should be a part of it too!
