So many deserving animals found their forever homes, and we couldn’t be more excited for every family welcoming a new best friend into their lives. These pets are officially starting their next chapter filled with love, comfort, and second chances. 🏡✨

Our animals are getting their party hats ready for our 85th Birthday Bash! 🎉

Celebrate 85 years of Forsyth Humane Society with a day designed for families, featuring puppy and kitten corners, a bounce slide, name and adopt your own balloon animal, food trucks, exciting behind-the-scenes experiences, and of course, cake!

Meet our sweet Dolly!❤️

Dolly is six years old and is finally getting the chance to learn what comfort, safety, and love truly feel like after spending her life in a large commercial breeding operation.

Dolly is an incredibly sweet and gentle dog who simply wants to be close to people. She has this quirky personality that comes out when she’s settled in. A mix of mild mischievousness and a little sass.

Since entering foster care, Dolly has slowly started coming out of her shell. She enjoys exploring the yard, relaxing in soft places to nap, and soaking up quiet affection from her caregivers. Her foster reports that she is gaining confidence every day.🤩

Dolly does have significant medical needs, and we want her future family to understand both the joys and responsibilities that come with loving her. She is currently receiving treatment for a number of health concerns, and her long-term prognosis remains uncertain. Despite these challenges, Dolly continues to show us that she still has joy, comfort, and love to give.

What Dolly needs most now is kindness. She needs a family willing to meet her where she is, celebrate the good days, and make sure whatever time she has ahead is filled with comfort, compassion, and love.

Summer Camp is almost here, and our sessions are filling up FAST! 🤩 Don’t miss your chance to spend the summer with us making treats, meeting shelter animals, and creating unforgettable memories.

June Half-Day Camps
🕘 Morning Session: 9 AM – 12 PM
🕑 Afternoon Session: 2 PM – 5 PM

6th – 8th Grade

This June, campers will become their own personal chefs during our Pet Kitchen sessions! 🐾🍴 Learn how to make homemade treats and meals for our shelter animals, plus fun snacks for yourself too.

Looking for the perfect afternoon activity this summer? Our afternoon sessions are a great way for campers to stay creative, hands-on, and animal-focused while making new friends and unforgettable memories.

In honor of the 85th anniversary of the Forsyth Humane Society, Crossroads Cycling Company has created the ultimate community challenge!🤩

The Big 85 Mile Fundraiser is your chance to celebrate 85 years of compassion in action while supporting animals in need. There’s still time to join the ride and get your miles in before May 31!

Here’s how to participate:

✅ Download the free Trek Ride Club app
✅ Select Crossroads Cycling as your preferred retailer
✅ Ride 85 miles between May 5–31 and track your rides in the app
✅ Donate at least $8.50 to support Forsyth Humane Society

Everyone who completes the challenge and makes a donation will receive a free Trek water bottle!

Meet Cody! 🤩

He is 6.5 years old and runs a very successful household supervision business. His hobbies include following you into every room for absolutely no reason, yelling about things only he understands, and drooling on you when you pet him correctly.

These days, he prefers indoor luxury, affection on demand, and making tiny trilling noises while he purrs like a motorboat.🤭

Despite his FIV-positive status, Cody is healthy, animated, and a real charmer. He is curious, alert, and vocal, not at all shy about asking for attention, and is a true lap cat.

Cody needs a home where he will live as the only cat or with another FIV-positive cat, with loving humans who will monitor his health and provide regular vet visits so he can continue to do well.

His laid-back personality, warm nature, and endearing ways will be well worth the extra attention that is required for his optimal care.

Pups in the Park is back this Thursday! ⚾️🐾

Grab your friends, your family, and your pup to head to Truist Stadium on Thursday, May 28th at 6:30 PM to cheer on our Winston-Salem Dash.

Have a hot dog, a drink, and don't forget, your pup gets to run the bases after the game!
