What does a bowl of Jell-O have to do with FMLA, Workers’ Comp, and the ADA?

At Winston-Salem Society for Human Resource Management's April chapter meeting, guest speaker Ken Carlson shared a simple but memorable analogy: when you touch one of these programs, the others often “jiggle” too—just like Jell-O.

The Winston-Salem Society for Human Resource Management held its annual Holiday Social and 2026 Board Installation on Tuesday, December 9.

Thank you to outgoing president, Nathan DiBagno, for a solid year of guiding our chapter!

Some highlights:
-We have a long-term affiliation with National SHRM.
-During 2025, we provided opportunity for over 20 continuing ed credits for our members.
-Through our Workforce Readiness program, we engaged our community with multiple HR related events including mock interviews, mentoring, and resume reviews.
-Our chapter had a strong showing at the state level as well, with several of our members in leadership roles.

Of note, Orielle Hope was presented with the HR Professional of the Year Award for her dedication to those in the HR profession!
Rita G Bottoms received the President's Award for her faithful and humble service and participation!

And finally, WELCOME to Clark Bunting II, our 2026 Chapter President!
