Tips to ensure the best day everrr:

🐸 BYO drum (or bowl or pot) if you'd like to participate in the drum circle
🐸 Bring a change of clothes and a towel for the splash pad
🐸 Camping chairs or picnic blankets encouraged
🐸 Rain boots recommended if the forecast looks muddy
🐸 While the breakfast and trail will be mostly shaded don't forget your sunscreen and bug spray

This is a rain-or-shine event, unless the weather gets actually dangerous

After the Brunch Run we’re keeping the good vibes going at the after-party from 1-5 p.m. at Fiddlin' Fish in downtown Winston-Salem, where a portion of beer sales will go back to PFS.

Your contribution will help us grow onward by supporting our ability to serve children past the age of pre-k and kindergarten as we launch our Agile Learning Center this fall!

Today was all about the worm snake! Our PFS kindergartners were curious of what might be underneath the boulder rocks and to their surprise, we found worm snakes and other interesting insects. They were fascinated by the movements, the color of its belly, and how tiny it was.

This past Friday, Piedmont Forest School and local Retirement Community Elders came together and held an Intergenerational Nature Play Day.

Our Director, Sheri Grace, led morning meeting in song. Our Learning Partners presented an interactive story with masks. Our new Grandfriends, Forest Kindergarteners and Nature Playgroupers buddied up for active nature play—painting, nature crafts, scavenger hunts, and magnifying glass exploration.

Our new friends were so very kind and brought box lunches for everyone.

What came together today was a priceless nature play experience between young and old alike. It was wonderful to see the smiles and involvement of our guests and kiddos—an inspiring day to end our week.
