Hello athletes, families, friends, and supporters of the Winona Wave Special Olympics!
We, Jessica, Sophi, and Graci Palubicki, are so excited to introduce ourselves as the new Head and Co-Head(s) of Delegation for the Winona Wave Special Olympics. We are stepping into this role together, and we couldn’t be more honored.
Stepping into this role feels incredibly meaningful. We each bring our own strengths, but we share the same passion: supporting our athletes, lifting up their accomplishments, and helping create a space where everyone feels welcomed and empowered to shine. We’re here to listen, learn, and serve in the best way we can.
Special Olympics already holds a very personal place in our hearts. Our son and brother, Isaac Palubicki, has Down syndrome, and watching him participate in the Winona Wave adaptive floor hockey game a couple of months ago was one of those moments that stays with you. Seeing the joy, pride, and pure encouragement at that game between the athletes reminded us exactly why Special Olympics is so important — not just for athletes, but for families like ours.
Along this new journey, we want to ask that you be patient with us as we take on this new role. We can’t wait for the season ahead — the friendships, the growth, the victories big and small, and all the moments that make this community unforgettable.
Here’s to an amazing journey together.
