Heartworm Project

Heartworm Project Established in 2004, the HWP provides medical care to shelter animals in need. "Rescuing animals is like trying to empty the ocean with an eye-dropper.

Don't do it to make the ocean dry...do it because you love being around the water." --Nicole Howland The Heartworm Project is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that provides medical care for shelter animals in need. Founded in 2004, the original purpose was to treat heartworm positive dogs at local shelters who were scheduled to be euthanized because of their illness. Since inception,

we have expanded to include dogs and cats of all ages who need medical intervention that shelters are not capable of providing.

You will not find a more socialized, playful, and snuggly purring machine. Murray comes when you call him to watch football! He will be ready for adoption in about a month. Please reach out if you feel that you can provide Murray with the exceptional home he deserves.
