On July 25, 2026, at the American Legion Department of Louisiana Department Executive Committee Conference in Alexandria Louisiana, Department Commander Dennis Hart officially presented Post 9 with our Permanent Post Charter and a full post meeting Kit.

This milestone marks the final recognition of Everett S. Fick Post 9 as a fully chartered American Legion post. Thank you to all our members, supporters, and community partners who helped make this possible. Our mission continues โ€” stronger than ever.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by today and signed the Veterans Tribute board. We loved seeing the kids enjoy the coloring pages, crayons, and little flags, and the adults seemed pretty happy to snag a pen too. Your support made the day special for all of us.

The American Legion Everett S. Fick Post 9 will be participating in the 250โ€‘Year 4th of July Celebration presented by Winn Main Steet-Winnfield La in downtown Winnfield on July 2!
Weโ€™ll be handing out small American flags, America 250 coloring pages, and crayons for the kids.
We also invite you to help us celebrate Americaโ€™s 250th Birthday by honoring the men and women who served our nation.
We will have a special America 250 Tribute Board where you can write:
โ€ข A Veteranโ€™s Name
โ€ข Their Branch of Service
โ€ข A short message such as โ€œThank you for your serviceโ€ or โ€œNever Forgottenโ€
Every name added helps Winn Parish honor 250 years of American Patriots.
