Our Biggest Shoe Drive Yet Is Done👟💜

We’ve collected over 2,100 pairs of shoes this year…500 more than last year!

Whoa! Check out the massive donation picked up from the Illinois Education Association in Springfield! These shoes were collected by several IEA offices and their amazing staff. Thank you SO much for your generosity! We are overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement knowing how impactful your donations will be for many deserving kids!

HUGE shout out and thank you to the Filger Public Library in Minonk for these incredible donations! To say the collection box was overflowing is a complete understatement! We cannot thank you, and your amazing community, enough for your generosity! You are helping to make a huge difference in many children’s lives!

We have been lucky enough to add 2 additional drop off locations! Thank you, Winfield Public Library and Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora for allowing us to expand our reach in the hopes of collecting more shoes!

The shoe drive is under way! We have already collected 11 bags of gently used shoes from our various drop off locations. As you can see, we have a little ways to go but we are optimistic that our goal will be reached! Please visit our website at www.zemanskicksforkids.org for drop off locations. One of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to monetary donations is thinking that you need to contribute a large amount in order to make a difference. But that is not the case! When a community comes together, individual donations of $5 to $10 each goes a long way!

Every dollar donated to Zeman’s Kicks for Kids is used towards the purchase of new gym shoes for deserving children in our area. Our volunteers personally shop for and buy each pair of sneakers based on the receiving child’s shoe size and need. And who better to make these purchases than a group of thrifty Mom’s and Grandmother’s who know how to make every dollar count! The purchasing group also contains a couple of teenagers who give their final “seal of approval” ensuring all sneakers bought are currently in fashion!

So how about in lieu of stopping one day to get a cup of coffee, just fill up your water jug at home and consider donating those funds to this wonderful cause! The children (and all of us at ZK4K) truly thank you!!!

We are excited to announce the launch of our annual spring shoe drive, aimed at providing new sneakers to deserving children as they begin their 2026/2027 academic year!

Our objective is to surpass last year's achievements by raising $2,000 in monetary donations. To realize this goal, we need your help!
