I’ve been working with AYUSA since 2011, helping families welcome international high school exchange students into their homes, and I can honestly say it’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever been part of.

Every year, amazing students from around the world come to the U.S. hoping for the true American high school experience—football games, family dinners, holidays, friendships, and everyday life. What they need most is a caring host family. 🏡✨

And here’s the best part… there is NO “typical” host family.

✔️ Married or single
✔️ With kids or without kids
✔️ Empty nesters
✔️ Farm families, city families, busy families, quiet families

💔Help Needed for Two Amazing Boys! 🇩🇪🇯🇵
We have a heartbreaking situation and truly need our community's help.

Tim from Germany and Kanata from Japan are confirmed to come to the U.S. this August. Their originally assigned host dad—who previously hosted Kanata’s older brother—unexpectedly passed away just a few weeks ago.

💬 These two boys are kind, active, and excited to be part of American life. They’ve waited patiently, and now we’re asking:
👉 Who can help us give them a home and a chance to move forward after this loss?

They just need a welcoming family—for a semester or the full school year. You don’t have to be “perfect,” just willing to share your home, heart, and culture.
