Family Holiday Promise envisions bringing families together to celebrate the holidays creating memories that last a lifetime, through art, activities and heartwarming stories. WHY FAMILY HOLIDAY PROMISE? Many charities for children focus exclusively on making sure that children are able to enjoy Christmas. While this is important, children have a right to enjoy other holidays throughout the year a

s well. Other holidays also have the potential to build a powerful bond with families and communities. Building a series of rituals around holidays allows families to express their values and create memories that last a lifetime. The vision for Family Holiday Promise came through the founders’ own experiences as a young single mother trying to provide the best she could for her child, while also making quality time as a family a priority recognizing how essential it was to the social emotional development of her daughter. With the understanding that this was also a struggle that many other families may be facing there came a call on her heart to build a program to support family quality time for low-income families especially during the core holiday seasons.

How it Works: At Family Holiday Promise, we bring a sense of stability, hope, and magic to their lives by ensuring that they and their families can enjoy the holidays. Working with our Community Partners, we arrange events for children and their families as well as donate crafts, books, toys, and holiday items. We are responsible for the organization of the events and distribution of crafts, books, gifts, and other holiday items, but we rely upon the local community and donors for our continued success.

Family Holiday Promise is a charity connecting struggling families in Colorado with the promise of the holidays.

OUR VISION

Our vision is that one day, every child in Colorado will be able to experience the joys of childhood and experience the promise of the holidays despite their circumstances. We want to serve as the light of hope in these children and their families lives during a time that may seem hopeless and offer a sense of normalcy in a time that may be anything but.
