Today, students and educators from Bertie, Hertford, and Martin County Schools came together to learn about Bertie’s Forgotten Black and Native Patriots of the Revolutionary War.

Through living history, storytelling, and interactive sessions, students gained a deeper understanding of the untold contributions of Black and Native patriots in shaping our nation’s history.
