Good Morning Suffield – September 20, 2026 to September 26, 2026 is Child Passenger Safety Week. On Saturday September 26, 2026 from 8 AM to 4 PM, the Suffield Police Department is hosting its third clinic for car seat checks/install at 911 Mountain Rd. Appointments are not necessary, but definitely preferred. ✨ Our Annual Teen Backpack Drive Was a Huge Success! ✨

I’m so proud to share that together we donated 96 backpacks to foster teens this year — split between Torrington DCF and Milford DCF. Every single backpack represents care, dignity, and a reminder to these teens that their community sees them.

A huge thank-you to Brooke, who delivered 48 backpacks to Torrington DCF. Your dedication and heart mean so much. Thank you as well to the Milford DCF caseworker who came out to pick up the backpacks for their teens ,your support helps make this drive possible.

To my son Ezra and his girlfriend Ash, thank you for running to Target for last-minute supplies when I needed you. You both jumped in without hesitation, and I’m so grateful. And to everyone who donated to the drive, whether you gave supplies, backpacks, funds, time, or shared the posts ,you are the reason this event continues to grow every year. Your generosity directly impacts foster teens across Connecticut and helps them start the school year with confidence and care.

Thank you all for making this annual event so meaningful.Thank you for showing up for teens who deserve the very best.Thank you for helping us make a difference one backpack at a time.
