Volunteer Opportunity: Director of All Voices Reading Room
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to help take our organization to the next level! The Director of All Voices Reading Room will play a key role in advancing our mission to provide an inclusive, welcoming space for readers of all ages and backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and oversee community and fundraising events.
Promote the Reading Room to attract diverse audiences and increase community engagement.
Work collaboratively with and report to the Board of Directors.
Maintain and catalog an inclusive library collection.
Manage operations within the budget established by the Board.
Recruit, schedule, and support volunteers to staff current hours (Saturday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., subject to change in the spring).
Ensure the space remains clean, organized, and inviting; report facility needs to the Board.
Qualifications:
Experience with social media and community outreach.
Passion for community building and supporting marginalized voices.
Proficiency with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, and Canva.
Comfortable speaking publicly and representing the organization at events.
Able to dedicate approximately 15–20 hours per week.
