Resilience Events Inc. – Bringing Connection to Community
Resilience Events Inc. is a new non-profit organization founded by entrepreneur and event planner, Tabi Traughber. With the guiding motto “Bringing connection to community,” Tabi launched this initiative to foster stronger social ties through meaningful events—something she feels is more important than ever in the wake of the pandemic and
her family’s personal journey with mental health. Tabi believes that socialization is vital to a thriving, healthy community. Her mission is to create fun, inclusive events for neighborhoods, businesses, and special occasions—at accessible, affordable prices. A large part of her focus is on supporting other non-profits and helping local organizations host effective, community-based fundraisers. hosted its inaugural event: the first Annual Mental Health Fair in Wilsonville, held at the historic site of the former Dammasch State Hospital, now known as the Villebois Piazza. Aptly named “Turning Darkness into Light – The 30-Year Shutdown of the Dammasch Mental Health Hospital,” the event commemorated the closure of the institution while raising awareness about mental health. Funding for the event came through the City of Wilsonville’s Community Opportunity Grant and support from local sponsors. Tabi brings over 20 years of diverse event planning experience—from apartment community events and “Kid’s Clubs” to neighborhood garage sales, business anniversaries, vendor markets, “sip n’ shops,” National Night Out celebrations, “Flicks on the Bricks” movie nights, harvest festivals, auctions, galas, and weddings. She is also a key partner in organizing the Wilsonville Farmers Market and “Friday Night Pub Pop-ups with Vanguard.”
