GAIN is an educational non-profit, founded in October 2014 with the mission to “nurture and inspire Arts and Innovation wherever possible.” Based in Wilson, and currently assisting schools, after-school programs and other non-profits in Teton County, we at GAIN are devoted to help schools and other non-profits meet the growing demands of Fine Arts programming and S.T.E.A.M. initiatives. Through va
rious outreach efforts, public demonstrations, community events and staff training sessions, we aim to elevate the creative and innovative atmosphere in our great state and beyond. Our current board and staff is composed of active artists, musicians and teachers from across the entire educational spectrum in Teton County, from places like C-V Ranch, Wilson Elementary, Parks and Rec, St. John's Hospital, Teton Youth and Family Services, The Literacy Center and many more. We have served as consultants, provided special equipment for and taught along side several local non-profit organizations like pArtners, Boundless, Big City Broadway, Riot Act Theater Co, among others. With our own custom audiovisual software and tutorials, for teaching anything from traditional musical notation to developing your own wireless iPad App for controlling the entire lighting system in a theater, GAIN not only helps to more closely align Fine Arts programs with the cutting edge technologies of today’s art world, but also provides in-depth solutions on how to initiate and sustain these types of programs more cost-efficiently, especially given the budget pressures that these kinds of creative endeavors continue to face. We pride ourselves in this special ability to go the extra mile beyond singular demonstrations or one-time-only elective courses and to actively seek out artists, teachers and community leaders who share similar goals for developing self-sustaining practices in arts education. This is what sets GAIN apart and will allow us to network with an entirely new generation of artists and innovators, ultimately harboring a broader appreciation for the Arts and for all that creative minds contribute to our society.
