One step closer boys and girls!
Today the Village of Wilson boys Joe “Dirt” Zastrow and Kevin Peck came in and installed the main waterline to the splash pad vault. Thank you both for your time and great work to keep our little project moving.
We need to thank Justin Lute and the folks at Irr Supply for providing us another great deal on some last minute fittings need to install waterline. We can not thank Justin and his team enough and there are no words to express how much we appreciate everything they have done for us.
We also need to thank Jeff and his team at Core & Main in Lockport for helping us with a couple things that were out of stock at Irr Supply. Without your help our project would have been on a slight hold. We thank you all for your generosity and for keeping our project moving.
We would like to thank Taylor from Thilk Electric for helping us out with wire and other electrical supplies in which we will be installing soon with the help of our friend and certified electrician Jim Pringle. Thank you Taylor and Jim!
Next step, after electric is installed is to pressure test all lines running from vault to the splash pad.
Once that is complete we will be contacting the great folks Solid Ground Concrete, Inc. to come in and pour the concrete pad and sidewalk for us. Tony and his crew will be using 4000psi fiberglass reinforced concrete from Oak Orchard Concrete. Once concrete is in and dry we will be installing the spray features.
We will then have Rich and his team at Black Dog Contracting coming in to install a fence and a couple gates.
Either before or after the fence install Shawn and his crew from Bailey Brothers Enterprises Inc Landscaping and Snow Removal will be joining us to tidy up the mess we have made as well as plant a few shrubs and some Hostas most likely.
Keep checking back for updates and a notification on opening day.
THANKS again to everyone who has donated to and/or worked on this project. As a family we cannot thank you enough and we are 100% positive you are all putting a smile on Austin’s face.
Take a look at the last picture posted, it is a Mourning Dove family that has taken up residency on top of the flood light at the restroom we installed last year. If that’s not a sign then we don’t know what is.
