We need to give a HUGE shoutout to Taylor from Thilk Electric for hooking us up on a deal for electrical supplies needed for our splash pad project.
Thank You Taylor! We appreciate you more than you know and I’m sure the community thanks you as well.
This gets us one step closer to opening day.

One step closer boys and girls!

Today the Village of Wilson boys Joe “Dirt” Zastrow and Kevin Peck came in and installed the main waterline to the splash pad vault. Thank you both for your time and great work to keep our little project moving.

We need to thank Justin Lute and the folks at Irr Supply for providing us another great deal on some last minute fittings need to install waterline. We can not thank Justin and his team enough and there are no words to express how much we appreciate everything they have done for us.

We also need to thank Jeff and his team at Core & Main in Lockport for helping us with a couple things that were out of stock at Irr Supply. Without your help our project would have been on a slight hold. We thank you all for your generosity and for keeping our project moving.

We would like to thank Taylor from Thilk Electric for helping us out with wire and other electrical supplies in which we will be installing soon with the help of our friend and certified electrician Jim Pringle. Thank you Taylor and Jim!

Next step, after electric is installed is to pressure test all lines running from vault to the splash pad.
Once that is complete we will be contacting the great folks Solid Ground Concrete, Inc. to come in and pour the concrete pad and sidewalk for us. Tony and his crew will be using 4000psi fiberglass reinforced concrete from Oak Orchard Concrete. Once concrete is in and dry we will be installing the spray features.
We will then have Rich and his team at Black Dog Contracting coming in to install a fence and a couple gates.
Either before or after the fence install Shawn and his crew from Bailey Brothers Enterprises Inc Landscaping and Snow Removal will be joining us to tidy up the mess we have made as well as plant a few shrubs and some Hostas most likely.

Keep checking back for updates and a notification on opening day.

THANKS again to everyone who has donated to and/or worked on this project. As a family we cannot thank you enough and we are 100% positive you are all putting a smile on Austin’s face.

Take a look at the last picture posted, it is a Mourning Dove family that has taken up residency on top of the flood light at the restroom we installed last year. If that’s not a sign then we don’t know what is.

***SPLASH PAD UPDATE***

With the Village of Wilson boys tied up fixing water and sewer breaks as well as sink holes and preparing our village for upcoming festivals and other summer events our friends at Hanes Excavation came in today and helped us get the conduit in for the electric supply.
Great job Kevin and Kyle, we can’t thank you enough and I’m sure the village and it’s residents appreciate you as much as we do. Hanes also dug out for the sidewalk which will run from the village sidewalk to the splash making for easy access and Jason was able to get the forms up for the sidewalk.

THANK YOU Kevin from Hanes Excavation for coming in on a Sunday to help keep the splash pad project moving forward.
Mother Nature continues to hamper our efforts by dumping rain on us at least every other day but today with Kevin’s help we were able to get the last bit of stone in as well as a few other minor things done.
Slow and steady wins the race!

Made some more progress on the splash pad today.
Village of Wilson employees came in and dug hole for control vault. Jason then connected the plumbing.
Again, slow and steady wins the race and hopefully Mother Nature keeps helping out too!

We need to give a shoutout to Kevin and Kyle from Hanes Excavation for taking these aerial photos for us and give them an even bigger THANK YOU for coming in to help us with setting the grade and installing the plumbing.
After working along side these 2 all day it was easy to see they pay attention to detail and do not cut corners. We highly recommend them for all your excavation needs. You will not be disappointed for choosing Hanes Excavation!

We also need to thank Justin Lute and Irr Supply for giving us a deal on the plumbing supplies that we could not say to. Stop into Irr supply in Lockport and ask for Justin. Be sure to tell him we sent you.

Thank you again Kevin, Kyle & Justin. We appreciate you more than words can express.

We have have suspended splash pad construction and switched gears to making an ark instead.
We believe it will get more use this year than a splash pad as Mother Nature continues to drop rain on us almost daily.

Finally got a break in the weather so we could get back to work on the splash pad. Thanks to Village of Wilson employees Joe “DIRT” Zastrow and Kevin Peck for all their hard work.
We were able to get pad excavation complete, felt liner down and first layer of stone in today before Mother Nature dropped more rain on us again.
