*Update*

We have recently had a few people ask a few questions.

Why are you still fundraising if the splash pad is in and operating?
Why are there still donation jars at various locations?
What is next on your community project list?

The answer is simple, we are not done yet at Martin Park and when done there we will move on to other parts of the village or community that are in need of upgrades. We are in this for the long haul and are determined to make the Village of Wilson a place families want to visit all in the memory of Austin and the impression he left on not only his family but the village as well.

We have plans to upgrade the splash pad with different water play features. The current splash pad was designed for future upgrades allowing us to get something in with what funds we had available.
The future upgrades will total somewhere around $50k. Attached are some photos of the 3 play features we hope to add in spring 2027.

We also have plans for a pavilion with new picnic tables in which you will be able to reserve at zero cost for birthday parties or family reunions etc.

There are also plans for an ADA compliant sidewalk which will run from the restroom to the splash pad allowing for easy access to and from restroom by all those who visit Martin Park.

Another thing in the works is turning the old splash pad into pickleball courts. This is another expensive project.

Last but not least we have in the works all new park benches, picnic tables and waste can receptacles.

We need and want to thank every one of our donors and supporters no matter how big or small your contribution. Every dollar helps and we could not be doing any of this without you.

We would like to thank a coworker of Jasons, Max for his donation of 16 bags of cans and bottles totaling $38.
We need to also thank our neighbors the Johnstons again for dropping off another round of cans and bottles totaling $21.50.
Thanks again to the Gorhans for another donation of cans and bottles in the amount of $3.10.
Totaling $62.60 in can and bottle returns today.

The Gorhans kindly donated 163 cans worth $8.15 and the Johnstons kindly donated 837 cans worth $41.85 for a net haul of $50.00. Every nickel and every dollar helps fund our community projects.
