🌟 Grantee Spotlight: Wilson County Schools 🌟

Our Responsive Grant is our largest annual funding opportunity, allowing eligible organizations to apply for support to develop programs and services aligned with our four focus areas.

Wilson County Schools, a 2025 responsive grant recipient, utilized their grant funding toward the construction of an adaptive, inclusive play space at Forest HIlls Middle School, creating a safe, welcoming environment where students can connect and recharge.

We are proud to support the meaningful work happening in Wilson County Schools. 💙

JUNE IS MEN'S HEALTH MONTH! 💙

Did you know men are 24% less likely than women to visit a doctor regularly? This month is a reminder that taking care of your health isn't a sign of weakness, it's one of the strongest things you can do.

Here's where to start:
✅ Schedule that check-up you've been putting off.
✅ Know your numbers (blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar).
✅ Talk openly about mental health — 1 in 10 men experiences depression or anxiety.
✅ Move your body for at least 30 minutes a day.

Your health matters!

May was a busy and meaningful month for the Healthcare Foundation of Wilson! 🎉

We started by celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week at Vick Elementary with lunch from Brewmasters. This was a small thank you for the incredible impact teachers make in our community every day.

Then we honored National Nurses Week with a community appreciation event at the Health Department, where Luna Bean Brews provided free coffee for the hardworking nurses across our county. ☕

We wrapped up the month with National EMS Week, treating our local EMS teams to lunch from Brewmasters to show our appreciation for everything they do. 🚑
To every teacher, nurse, and EMS professional in Wilson, thank you. We see you, and we appreciate you. 💙
