2026 Scholarship Information:
GENERAL INFORMATION
PURPOSE: The Health Alliance of Clinton County will award medical scholarships each year to assist employees working in a medical field/office within Clinton County.
ELIGIBILITY: The HACC Scholarships are open to all employees of Clinton County Hospitals and Health Care Systems such as Clinton Memorial Regional Health System, Kettering Health Care System and to employees of a Health Care Providers' office within Clinton County (including physicians, dental, pharmacy, Hospice, EMS, and Drayer Rehabilitation) who have worked at that place of employment for at least one year by the time of the application due date of May 31, 2026.
Any previous recipient of a scholarship may reapply for another scholarship but will be required to compete against a new field of candidates.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Medical Scholarships in the amount of $2,000.00 each will be given in 2026. Scholarships will be awarded to an employee pursuing a degree, advanced degree or certification in any healthcare field. This employee must continue to work with the said employer during the period of the scholarship or the eligibility will cease, unless employment is terminated under no fault of the recipient due to dismissal or layoff. Should the recipient terminate his/her employment during the period of the scholarship, the recipient agrees to repay the scholarship amount received to the Health Alliance of Clinton County Scholarship Fund upon request of the committee.
The committee reserves the right not to award a scholarship if there are no qualified applicants.
PAYMENT: Scholarship recipients will be required to provide a current invoice from the nonprofit, accredited institution. The invoice should include the student's name, ID # and due date. The invoice should itemize the tuition and fees, course-related expenses like lab fees, books, supplies and equipment required of all students for courses of instruction. The scholarship will be paid directly to the financial office of the college/university. Travel expenses are not eligible. For-Profit colleges are not eligible.
The Clinton County Foundation will communicate with recipients through the Scholarship Portal. Students will need to upload documentation and allow 5-10 business days for payments to be reviewed and processed. The Clinton County Foundation will issue checks directly to the school.
Applications must be submitted and received by the deadline of 5/31/2026 at 11:59pm.

November 23, 1956 was the first time the phrase "Elvis has left the building" was used to encourage hysterical fans that there would be no further encores and to go home. Oscar Davis, his press agent went on stage and yelled "Elvis has left the building. Hold it. Hold it. Elvis is gone."
