The 8th Annual Back Door Kitchen Tour will be held by the Residents of Old Wilmington (ROW) on Saturday, October 12th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Nine (9) kitchens will be featured in the homes of Wilmington’s famed Historic District. The self-guided walking tour offers the convenience to visit each home – in any order – at your own pace, and because many of the homes have stairs, comfortable walkin
g shoes are encouraged for comfort. This year’s kitchen tour will include homes located at the following addresses:
• 502 S. Front Street
• 210 Church Street
• 18 S. Water Street, Suite 10, Brooks Building
• 520 Dock Street
• 521 Dock Street
• 512 Grace Street
• 214 N. 6th Street
• 206 N. 7th Street
Tour tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available www.ROWilmington.org. Starting in early September, tickets will be available for purchase at the following locations:
DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON – Wilmington Water Tours (212 S. Water Street)
DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON – Finkelstein’s Music (Front & Market Streets)
WILMINGTON PROPER – Great Harvest Bread Company (5327 Oleander Drive)

Also, beginning September 18thh, tour tickets will be available at all 10 Wilmington-area Harris Teeter grocery stores. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the tour at each of the tour homes and at the Bellamy Mansion, 503 Market St. All funds earned by ROW from the tour will be utilized for Downtown projects. Past projects have included the Fifth Avenue reforestation project, the purchase and installation of the “Southern Hospitality” sculpture at Market and Water Streets, the Ann Street pedestrian and bike crossing, and the new display cases at Thalian Hall.
