Yellow Hats An online resource for the community that offers information about the University of Delaware's Yell

Every spring semester, SOCI/CRJU/BAMS/UAPP 455 “Youth Street Outreach” is offered at the University of Delaware under the leadership of Dr. Lana Harrison. Between Monday-Thursday, UD students (Yellow Hats) are at Bancroft Elementary, Stubbs Elementary and the Walnut Street Y working with students in their afterschool programs. At the afterschool programs, the Yellow Hats help with homework, discus

s their college experiences, serve as positive role models, and enhance social capital. Friday-Sunday, the Yellow Hats pass out bulletins filled with community resources to the residents in the Eastside of Wilmington, and students offer various recreational activities at the parks in order to promote prosocial behavior and to increase social efficacy in the neighborhood.
