FREEDOM CIRCLE 🔥💜 REAL CONVERSATIONS. REAL QUESTIONS. REAL SUPPORT.

Sometimes, the most meaningful moments happen when we slow down, make room, and simply listen.

At the Girls Can Do Anything! Raising Queens Conference, Freedom Circle gave the girls an opportunity to sit together around the fire pit, talk with one another, ask real questions, share thoughts, and experience the power of being heard.

No two girls have the same story. No two journeys look exactly alike. But there is something powerful about creating a space where young girls can learn from one another, feel supported, and know their voices matter.

Because empowerment isn’t always about standing on a stage or being in front of a crowd.

Sometimes, it’s sitting around a fire pit and having the conversation you didn’t know you needed. 💜

Sometimes, all it takes is seeing someone who looks like you, shares a similar story, or has walked a path you never knew was possible.

Suddenly, the dream feels a little closer. The goal feels a little more achievable. And the question changes from “Can I do that?” to “How can I?”

That’s why representation matters.

At the Girls Can Do Anything! Raising Queens Conference, girls had opportunities to connect with women and leaders bringing their experiences, knowledge, and gifts to the next generation.

Because when we expose girls to possibilities, we help them imagine futures they may never have considered.

Introducing Freedom Stretch & Serenity at OVA Freedom! We’re partnering with Black Girls Love Outdoors Too to bring you a FREE weekly mindfulness and stretching session led by founder Gloria Johnson.

Step away from the busy day, stretch out the tension, and take a moment for YOU. Come with a friend or come on your own. You don’t need experience, just a willingness to slow down and breathe. 🧘🏽‍♀️💚🧘🏽‍♂️

What happens when we give girls the space to try something new, express themselves, and discover what they’re capable of?

We create room for possibilities. 💜

At the Girls Can Do Anything! Raising Queens Conference, every opportunity to learn, create, connect, and explore was a reminder that we don’t have to know what a girl will become to encourage her to begin.

Put a mic in her hand. Put a pen in her hand. Give her room to create, ask questions, and dream BIG.

We don’t know what she’ll become, and that’s the beauty of it! 👑

Girls Can Do Anything! And sometimes, all she needs is the opportunity to discover it for herself.

CLOUDY SKIES. FULL HEARTS. A VILLAGE IN MOTION. 🩷👑

The skies may have been cloudy, but that didn’t stop the movement happening at the Girls Can Do Anything! Raising Queens Conference.

Drop-off after drop-off. Chandra connecting with our AMAZING team of volunteers. Eboni moving and shaking to create a spectacular atmosphere. Volunteers EVERYWHERE, making sure the details came together. And then… a COW showed up and worked the runway! 🤭🐮😂

Soooooo many moving parts! So many people giving their time, energy, gifts, and hearts to make this day special for our girls.

And then came a moment I’ll hold onto.

As I walked one of the girls out to her mom, she turned to me and said…

“Oh, I’m coming back next year.” 🥹🩷

And there it is.

That’s the why. That’s the impact. That’s the reminder that all the planning, preparation, running around, teamwork, and behind-the-scenes work MATTERS.

Because when a girl leaves already looking forward to coming back, you know something meaningful happened.

To Chandra, Eboni, our incredible volunteers, community partners, and EVERYONE who played a part in making this conference happen — THANK YOU! You helped create an experience our girls want to be part of again.

The clouds didn’t stop us. The moving parts didn’t stop us. Because when a village comes together with purpose, beautiful things happen. 💜

And guess what? We have SO MUCH MORE to share! This is just the beginning of our Girls Can Do Anything recap.

The movement is real. The village showed up. And our girls are already talking about next year! 👑🩷
