Happy World Environment Day. Here, Samuel challenges others to take part in soil erosion control...

"At this time, the heavy rains falling on the mountain tops have already carried a lot of soil to the sea while these uncontrolled waters in the upper reaches of the Ladigue and Gran Ravin rivers continue to cause great damage. I have started to do work that is bringing results, and what have you done? People living below and those living on the mountain tops should join forces to start taking some action to protect the upper reaches to prevent rainwater from carrying all the layers that can produce food to the sea and entering the homes of those living below. Little by little, if we move forward, one day we will arrive"
/
"Nan moman sa yo gwo lapli kap tonbe tèt mòn yo deja pote anpil tè ale nan lanmè pandan dlo sa yo ki pa kontwole nan tèt vèsan rivyè ladig ak gran Ravin kontinye ap fè gwo dega .Mwen kòmanse fè yon travay ki pote rezilta e ou menm kisa w fè ?Moun abite anba ak moun ki rete nan tèt mòn yo ta dwe mete tèt ansanm pou yo kòmanse poze kèk aksyon nan pwoteje tèt vèsan yo pou anpeche dlo lapli pote tout kouch ki kapab pwodwi manje yo ale nan lanmè ak rantre nan kay moun ki rete anba yo .Piti piti si n vanse yon jou na rive."

The students celebrated the national holiday of Haitian Flag Day on the 18th. This day marks Haitian independence from France in 1803. The flag honors the revolutionary struggle that led to the world’s first free Black republic. It endures as a symbol of unity, resilience and cultural pride throughout the Diaspora.
