Wilmington residents confront councilman Joe Buscaino at LAPD station which 100% homeless apartment building being proposed (Deepwater/Eubank) by homes, Banning Park, and BHS in a R1 Zone. He said he wouldn't support homeless apartment near his home because he lives in R1. I respect that. I hope he respects Wilmington the same way. Follow Citizens For a Better Wilmington on FB to keep up. #Joebuscaino
So many issues with housing more RVs n cars. Who picks up all the Urine and poop 💩 that is dumped on floors and ocean drains? Not to mention public safety from these issues.
Others speakers said this is Port of La land (Tide land affected?) which has to agree to trade, sell or release the land to other city departments. A designated clean up green up land. Methane land site ( No EIR?) n many more issues.
Solution: find cheap land like camping sites which have connections to Electrical, Water, drains pipes. LA County fund back State funding budget cuts to Mental institution sites.... what's your solution?
Wilmington community came out in full force. Not one speaker supported moving RVs or cars into Wilmington to house more homeless, sex offenders, or any other.
Councilman Buscaino holds the final decision to our future well being.
Second meeting at Municipal building was not attended by staff. For obvious reasons. 🙏 let's see what happens next. Petition are being signed.

How much should the city invest in our children who play at Banning Park and what would u like to see done? Please share or like.
